The Constitution of South Africa states that everyone has the right to a basic education. This means that all asylum seeker and refugee children have a right to primary education and are entitled to the same access to schooling as any South African child.  Here is some advice, and some answers to frequently asked questions if you are an asylum seeker or refugee seeking information on how to take care of your child's education. This information was compiled by Lawyers For Human Rights (LHR) and The Consortium For Refugees And Migrants in South Africa (CORMSA).
