This theme wishes to explore how the diversity of identities and cultural practices in Yeoville are a valuable resource which could be much celebrated, in particular through planning practices and policies. Migrants’ business skills contribute a lot to the vibrancy of Rockey-Raleigh street – and yet are perceived in a competitive spirit. Yeoville’s unique variety of African food and restaurants could be a valuable asset for the area - and yet is seldom celebrated and highlighted. How could we make better uses of the richness provided by the unique mix of African cultures present in Yeoville?
